They practice modified versions of traditional poses thereby still receiving the same health benefits that it offers younger people. Through consistent practice of Yoga, you can slow down the aging process of the body, relieve aches and pains, and enjoy the so-called “twilight years” more comfortably.

 

2. Chair Massage- Traditional chair massage is done in a specialized massage chair in which the individual has to climb into a forward leaning position. Balance on the Go understands that this may not be possible for everyone. We offer chair massage in your very own chair. There is no disrobing or use of messy oils. Besides increasing relaxation and joint mobility, massage lowers your blood pressure, increases circulation, relieves muscle tension, helps you to sleep better and can increase your concentration. It also reduces fatigue, promotes healthy skin and combats the effects of aging.

 

3. Meditation - There are demonstrable health benefits derived from meditation which ease the effects of the aging process. You are taught various techniques of meditation or what can otherwise be referred to as “conscious relaxation”. This can help the individual get beyond the conditioned “thinking mind” into a deeper state of relaxation and awareness. When we sleep, our mind and our body rejuvenates itself. Sometimes seniors find difficulty in achieving a good night’s sleep. Meditation helps achieve a state of restful awareness at other times. Restful awareness can sometimes provide a deeper rest than sleep itself.
